Women in a study at the Brain Research Centre in Canada who did a total-body weight training routine once or twice a week for one year scored up to 13% higher on mental-attention tests than those who took body-weight only exercise classes.  To continue challenging both your muscles and gray matter, bump up the pounds you lift once you have aced two sets of eight reps at a certain weight.  Flexing the body and the mind.
