holiday stress!!!

As if the holidays aren't stressful enough, try making healthy decisions during them.  Here are a few helpful healthy tips.  Decompress, get your workout in.  Working out relieves stress and will certainly alleviate some of the guilt you may experience by indulging a bit.  Eat at home before the party, so you aren't really hungry when you get there. Watch the alcohol.  Alcohol is nothing but empty calories that spike your blood sugar and make it crash leaving you wide open to making terrible decisions.  Don't take fattening leftovers home and if you are cooking be a great host and send some home with your guests.  Share the wealth.  If you need a sweet treat.  Go ahead but that doesn't mean eat the plate full of cookies that are left for Santa.  A cookie or two are enough to satisfy that craving.  If you are anything like me remove it from your house.  Most of all enjoy this time of year with your family and make beautiful memories.  I know I will!
